Zaha Hadid Design

Zaha Hadid (1950–2016) from Iraq was one of the most well-known architects in the world. Her bold designs were long considered impossible to build. In 2004, she was the first woman to be awarded the Pritzker Prize. In 1979, she founded the architectural practice Zaha Hadid Architects after first completing her mathematics studies, then her diploma at the Architectural Association School in London. Projects with fashion icons such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton and brands such as adidas, Alessi, Artemide and B&B Italia highlighted her great creative potential and enthusiasm for continuously discovering new terrains. Her most important architectural work included the fire station on the Vitra campus in Weil am Rhein, which also promoted her breakthrough, the Guangzhou Opera House and the library on the Economics University campus in Vienna from 2013.
