Arzberg Porzellan

Welcome to Rosenthal

In 2024, Rosenthal simplifies its brand structure. The Arzberg Cucina and Tric collections will be part of the Thomas brand, while Form 1382 and Joyn will be marketed under the Rosenthal label. Find out all the information about the brand change here.

Arzberg becomes more international

The Arzberg brand will in future operate under

Rosenthal and Thomas

Founded in 1887, the traditional German brand Arzberg has been part of Rosenthal GmbH since 2013 and has brought multiple award-winning shapes to the market over the decades. By integrating the collections into the Rosenthal and Thomas ranges, Rosenthal aims to give the four popular Arzberg moulds even more internationality and visibility in future.

The Tric and Cucina collections will in future be available under the Thomas brand. You can find the collections in the Thomas online shop here.

Form 1382 and Joyn are integrated into the Rosenthal brand. In 1931, the young engineer Hermann Gretsch designed the aesthetic, modern and functional utility porcelain Form 1382, which was later even exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Joyn porcelain and stoneware, designed by the British design studio Levien, epitomise an effortless, elegant style of the highest quality.

Form 1382

In 1931, Arzberg launched the shape 1382 by Dr Hermann Gretsch, which revolutionised the porcelain industry. With its clear functionality and aesthetic elegance, it set itself apart from the overloaded designs that were common at the time. The timeless design of the Form 1382 has remained unchanged ever since and retains its fascination to this day. This collection is one of the iconic masterpieces of modern industrial design and is even represented in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

JOYN

Joyn embodies sharing - be it the joy of a lovingly prepared meal, the cosiness of a shared meal or socialising with friends. A variety of bowls make it possible to share food with one another and serve it easily. The contemporary aesthetics of Joyn are reflected in the fine vertical relief that gives the porcelain structure. The combination of white, denim blue and light grey as well as the warm stoneware earth tones gives the table a light, natural and urban look.

"The aim of the new brand structure is to achieve more growth and broader distribution for these beautiful ranges and to make them more international. The high quality and outstanding design of these products, which stand for aesthetics, functionality and durability, will not change. The product structure will also remain the same. The moulds will simply be given a new bottom stamp."

CEO Lotte Franch

Rosenthal wants to simplify its brand structure and concentrate more on the two brands Rosenthal and Thomas.

The integration of Arzberg products into the Rosenthal and Thomas ranges is intended to give the popular shapes and collections even more internationality and visibility in future.

The Arzberg Cucina and Tric collections will be part of the Thomas Porzellan brand, while Form 1382 and JOYN will continue under the Rosenthal label. These will of course also be available for purchase in the respective online shops.

Form 2000 will no longer be produced in future. It is still available in stores as a discontinued model while stocks last.

Rosenthal started to gradually switch production at the beginning of 2024. Gradually, items with the Arzberg base stamp will no longer be available in stores. In future, these will be labelled with the Rosenthal or Thomas base stamp. Even after the changeover, there may be a mix of bottom stamps in future, as products with Arzberg stamps are still in circulation and new items with Rosenthal or Thomas bottom stamps are already on the market. Unfortunately, we cannot rule out these mix-ups.

The series will be available in the online shops of Rosenthal and Thomas Porzellan. The moulds will also continue to be available in selected specialist shops.

The high quality and outstanding design of these products, which stand for aesthetics, functionality and durability, will not change. The product structure will also remain the same. The moulds will simply be given a new base stamp.

Rosenthal believes in these beautiful collections, which is why they will continue to be produced under the Rosenthal and Thomas brand names and will remain available until further notice.
