Regula Stüdli’s interest in innovative design solutions is a common thread through her career. Born in 1974, she studied at Zurich University of Art and Design, after which she went on to work in creative design at the renowned Swiss textiles company Jakob Schlaepfer for over a decade. In 2003 her ink-jet prints won the “Silberner Hase, Die Besten 03” design award.
Regula Stüdli presented her affinity for sceno-graphic elements to a wide audience in her textile installation “Jungle Friends”, which was nominated for the Design Prize Switzerland 2009. Since July 2012, Regula Stüdli has been self-employed. The motifs, symbols and patterns that she creates – sketched by hand, photographed and sampled – are bursting with life. She creates her rich designs for textiles for fashion designers and for interiors.
