Christian Megert is a well-known Swiss sculptor and kineticist. He created monochrome pictures using different materials and structures, and sculptures made from iron and synthetic resin. Based on his manifesto "Ein neuer Raum" he made objects made of glass and mirrors.
He collaborated with the ZERO group (Null-Ausstellung in the Stedelijk-Museum of Amsterdam in 1962, Dokumenta Kassel in 1968) and some other architects (Kinderspital Bern, Nationalbank Bern). As of 1980, alongside his works with mirrors, he has also been creating models and large stone sculptures. In 1978 Megert created the »Leuchttisch« (100 pieces) for Rosenthal.
