Almir da Silva Mavignier was a painter and co-founder of the first abstract branch of South American art. He aims through his works to prove the statement that an orderly alignment of dots on a surface have a strong visual importance ("Optical Art").
Mavignier has been working for Rosenthal since 1967. He created two versions of a relief »flach und konvex« (flat and convex), each 50 pieces for the limited art edition.
