Rudolf Lunghard


*1902 - †1983

Rudolf Lunghard is a well-known German ceramists of the 20th century. Next to freely thrown clay- and earthenware vessels he developed industrial productions for several porcelain manufacturers. From 1939 to 1967 he was head of the Porzellanfachschule in Selb. Lunghard began working for Rosenthal in 1950. Amongst others he created the graceful shape »Oval« and three dinner services for the brand Hutschenreuther which was taken over by Rosenthal in 2000.
