Christmas in The Mug+

‘Ring, ring, tinkle, tinkle...’ 𝄞 that's how it sounds at Christmas time! Following the success of our ‘Summer in The Mug+’ campaign, we are now celebrating winter and the festive season with ‘Christmas in The Mug+’. The cold months invite you to enjoy cosy moments, warm drinks and a very special festive atmosphere. Thick socks, a cosy blanket and a steaming mug in your hand - what could be better? It's just a shame if the mug doesn't warm up properly. But that's what The Mug+ from Rosenthal is for: a mug designed to keep you warm and ensure cosy hours. How do you keep warm in winter and on cold days? We have a few hot ideas for you here.

Cinnamon Star Hot Chocolate

250 ml plant-based milk (e.g., oat milk)

1 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp maple syrup or date syrup (to taste)

A pinch of ground cloves and nutmeg (optional)


Slowly heat the plant-based milk in a saucepan.

Add the cocoa powder, cinnamon, and syrup, stirring well.

Optionally, add a pinch of cloves and nutmeg for extra holiday spice.

Pour into your mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick or cinnamon powder.

Winter Fog


Cozy up with a Winter Fog tea latte, perfect for a moody late-night reading nook. Made with Earl Grey tea, frothy milk, and a splash of maple syrup, it's a comforting drink that's easy to customize. Make this on your first cool weather day, and you will definitely fall in love!

5 g of Earl Grey Tea

1/2 cup hot water

1 cup of milk

1 shot of maple syrup

Pinch of cinnamon

1 shot of Espresso(optional)

Steep Earl Grey tea in hot water for 3-5minutes to make an Earl Grey tea concentrate. Froth milk and mix in maple syrup. Pour milk and maple syrup mixture into tea. Sprinkle cinnamon on the top of milk foam. (When you need an extra boost, you can add a shot of espresso of your choice).

Speculoos Spice Tea

250 ml plant-based milk (e.g., oat or soy milk)

1 chai or black tea bag

1 tsp maple syrup or agave syrup

1/2 tsp speculoos spice or a mix of cinnamon, cloves, anise, and nutmeg


Heat the plant-based milk and let the tea bag steep for 3-5 minutes. Add the speculoos spice mix and syrup, stirring well. Remove the tea bag, and enjoy warm – for extra holiday flavor, top with a pinch of cinnamon!

Vanilla Kipferl Milk

250 ml plant-based milk (e.g., oat or almond milk)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp maple syrup or agave syrup

1/2 tsp ground almonds

A pinch of cinnamon


Warm the plant-based milk in a small saucepan without boiling. Stir in the vanilla extract, maple syrup, ground almonds, and cinnamon. Enjoy warm, and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or vanilla powder if desired.

Creamy Peanut Butter Latte

300 ml almond milk

30 g cashew nuts

6 pitted soft dates

4 tsp peanut butter

40 ml brewed espresso (2 espresso shots)

1/4 tsp cinnamon


Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Heat the mixture in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it becomes slightly creamy. Pour into two cups and enjoy.


Decoration Tip:

Top with whipped cream, caramel sauce, hazelnut brittle, marshmallows, or anything you like, and enjoy.

Gingerbread Latte Macchiato


For one portion/cup:

1 tsp organic cocoa powder 

1/2-1 tsp gingerbread spice

1 tbsp maple syrup / date syrup 

1 double espresso (50-60ml) 

150-200ml barista soy drink 

Alternative toppings: gingerbread spice, candy cane or speculaas

Combine cocoa, gingerbread spice and maple syrup in your „The Mug+“ and mix everything well. Prepare a double espresso and pour it into „The Mug+“. Froth up the soy drink and add it in your „The Mug+“ as well. Top the foam with some gingerbread / or speculaas spices, and enjoy.

If you want, matching to the season, you can also decorate your latte macchiato with some speculaas and a candy cane.

Marzipan Hot Chocolate

250 ml almond milk

1 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp almond butter

1 tsp maple syrup or agave syrup

1/4 tsp almond extract (to taste)


Heat the almond milk in a saucepan, adding the almond butter and cocoa powder, and stir well. Add the maple syrup and a few drops of almond extract to taste. Mix until creamy, and enjoy warm.

Winter Time Coffee Mocktail

100 ml hot cherry juice

150 ml freshly brewed filter coffee

A pinch of cinnamon

Topped with whipped cream 

 

The sweet cherry juice and the fresh filter coffee highlight each others attributes and will give you a beautiful sensation of sweet and bitter flavours. The cinnamon adds the wholesome winter spirit and the cream brings this drink together, creating a delicious caffeinated Christmas mocktail.
