Textile designer Regula Stüdli: artistic vision and milestones
Regula Stüdli is a gifted textile designer from Switzerland who is making her mark on the design landscape with her unique style. After graduating from the renowned School of Art and Design in Zurich, she established herself in the textile industry, where she worked for the renowned Jakob Schlaepfer company for over a decade. Here she used innovative techniques, including her award-winning ink-jet prints, and won the “Silberner Hase - Die Besten 03” design award in 2003.
Since 2012, Stüdli has been working as an independent designer in her own studio, where she can fully develop her artistic freedom. Her work is characterized by an extraordinary combination of natural motifs and modern aesthetics. Using techniques ranging from hand drawing to digital methods, she creates vibrant and expressive motifs. In addition to her work as a designer, she passes on her knowledge as a lecturer in textile design at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and inspires budding designers.
