Whether individual flowers and grasses, a classic bunch of flowers or a lavish bouquet - with "Vesi" Rosenthal relies on casual aesthetics for every day and offers a well thought-out vase collection that, thanks to its four refined sizes, has the perfect vase for every flower arrangement. Finnish designer Mikko Laakkonen created the Scandinavian-inspired collection, representing the unobtrusive beauty of water. "Vesi" (finn: water) is characterized by two reliefs: While „Wavelet“ is presenting calm flowing waves of water on the outside of the vases, „Droplet“ sets pointedly big and small drops, like pearls, on the shining porcelain.
Purple and green, crowned by dried grasses: that is the recipe for this very individual bouquet. Spiny, round flower heads and the striking grass stands in contrast to the soft petals of the dark purple anemone and the lily as an eyecatcher. For a modern aspect berries with their beautiful shape are draped between the branche.
The perfect vase for single flowers
Dainty, but oho!
This proves the smallest of the Vesi vases
impressive. Despite its small size it tames
even long-stemmed plants. It does not
always have to be a whole bouquet: Also
single flowers or tendrils find their perfect
home in this vase.
This bellied and wide vase is perfect for
short-stalked bouquets and blooms. The
natural curves are repeated in the two different
reliefs of Wavelets and Droplets and
harmonize with the organic forms of the
flowers and petals.
Compact can also be extravagant! Proven by this unusual arrangement of red and pink eyecatchers. Those flowers could not be more different in length and form, but due to the intensive colour tones they are shining together in the contrast to the white porcelain.
For this vase it‘s enough to arrange flowers casually together and you will get easily a harmonious picture. Pastel, but large flower heads with pale pink bittercress and long-stemmed meadow flowers have been combined in this example, which give the classic roses a lightweight, modern atmosphere.
The perfect vase for tall bouquets
The best of both worlds!
With large radius but slim body this size of the vases is perfect for long stems with large flower heads and grasses. Even heavy and sweeping plants find a good stand in this vase and can gleam in all their beauty.
The real big performance succeeds with the
largest of the Vesi vases quite easily. With
its elongated shape it offers a perfect hold
for long and wild stems. The by the nature
inspired relief offers the perfect contrast
between the shiny white porcelain and the
elementary colour of healthy plants: Green!
Ferns, leaves, eucalyptus, berries and thistles bring the wilderness directly to the living room. The flowerless bouquet let the lush green of the expansive stems and leaves shine. As the only colour spots serve berries that round off the wild arrangement.
caretipps for flowers For a nice bouquet, the care is the key
Insert individual eyecatchers to your bouquet. This makes it a real attention-getter overall!
Use hard flower stems and leaves to build a firm frame for your bouquet, which you can then fill as you wish.
Fill your bouquet with soft-stemmed flowers in strong colours. Flowers with large petals are particularly suitable for this.
TIPS FROM THE PRO JIN PARK: ”Before you start, put all your flowers in front of you and then add one flower after the other to the hand-tied bouquet. There is a kind of hierarchy in the bouquet: The flowers with heavy or large blossoms should be arranged further down, for the delicate, light flowers or twigs I‘ll go higher.”
Fresh water every day
Daily new and diagonal cutting
Location: not too warm, no draughts
Bright, but no direct sunlight
At night to a cool place, e.g. cellar
Not near fruit
DIY: Bouquet From flowers to a bouquet
Round bodied and robust, slim and elegant, small and dainty or rather extravagant and dramatic? Vases have many personalities and they are already solo an eyecatcher. But in combination with the matching flowers they become real beauty boosters for every room and set our favorite bouquets beautifully in scene. With all the love for vases - there is always the question, which one fits best to which flower? Which combination comes out as a floral dream couple?
On the right we have put together a few tips for you in a small tutorial.

Which vases should you have in any case at home? Is there a kind of basic equipment?
An elongated, narrow vase with a small opening is perfect because you don‘t need a lot of flowers to make it look great. And small vases in different sizes and shapes that you can arrange to a group are also nice to give flowers a good stage.
Do you like decorating the Vesi vases?
With the Vesi vases you have infinite possibilities to set flowers in scene. They are so wonderfully uncomplicated! Due to their restrained form, their various sizes and the neutral colour, they harmonize perfectly with all bouquets.
What is your personal floral dream couple?
I like to combine seasonal flowers with exotic plants. In this case my Korean origin plays certainly a role. Magnolia branches for example, remind me of my mother and my home, because we had a beautiful magnolia tree in the garden behind the house. Magnolia branches with French tulips is therefore one of my favorite arrangements. I also love flowering twigs, like cherry.
Better to use scissors or knives for cutting flowers?
The first step is to cut he flower stem again after the purchase. The best way to do this is to take a short and sharp kitchen knife, rather no scissors, since the stems will be squeezed easily. If you cut diagonally, the flower has a larger surface to absorb water.
