Powerful designs in new colours
Six vase designs from the collection are now available, cast in coloured porcelain, in new, pastel tones and in unlimited editions.
In 1976, Claus Josef Riedel, a glass designer specialising in wine glasses, designed the asymmetrical Asym shape, which itself looks like a wide-open and irregular flower shape. The vase is now available in the white-opaque colour Sea Salt. With Vase of Phases, New York-based Studio Dror was inspired by the fragility of beautiful things. The vase looks like a snapshot just before its explosion and is now making its debut in the colour Pacific. Cédric Ragot's 2006 Fast vase is an interpretation of social change in the digital age. Fascinated by the plasticity and the limits of the malleability of materials, Ragot also designed Squall: this vase, designed in 2007, captures a dynamic movement and allows it to solidify. The vase Skum (Danish for foam) by architecture firm BIG is modelled on an inflatable art pavilion designed by Danish star architect Bjarke Ingels in 2016. With Hop, the well-known designer Sebastian Herkner has created a vase featuring stacked rings reminiscent of Michelin men or sculptures by the artist Tony Cragg.
The vases, which measure between 26 and 32 centimetres, gain an elegant look through their matt finish on the outside and the glaze on the interior.
Each vase tells a story and is an expression of the individual creativity of renowned artists and designers. Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of Rosenthal's studio-line and be inspired by the symbiosis of tradition and modernity.
