Michela Cattai

Michela Cattai is a renowned glass artist based in Milan and a graduate of the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice. Her works – crafted in close collaboration with Murano glass masters – merge Venetian glassmaking tradition with a contemporary design language. 

Cattai’s creations are characterised by organic forms, expressive volumes, and poetic imperfection. She is represented internationally in galleries and at design fairs such as Design Miami Basel and PAD London, and her works are regularly featured in exhibitions and museums around the world. 

Since 1991, she has run the gallery Michela Cattai ART+DESIGN in Milan’s Brera district, curating modern and contemporary Italian craftsmanship.
