Concept and inspiration of the Heritage collection

Gianni Cinti designed the Heritage Collection for Rosenthal, a tribute to the brand's rich tradition. This collection, consisting of the Midas, Turandot and the no longer available Dynasty decors, harmonizes historical style elements with modern aesthetics. Cinti drew inspiration from the Rosenthal archive history, his personal memories and cultural and art-historical references to create new classics.

A unifying element of the collection is the use of gold as a central decorative motif. Each line represents a unique story and offers a holistic concept that is complemented by matching glassware, linen and accessories.

Heritage Midas

Inspired by the Greek myth of King Midas, who turned everything he touched into gold, the décor reinterprets the baroque Sanssouci porcelain collection. Gold dominates in various shades: from filigree lines to completely gilded surfaces. Elements such as golden leaves and branches create a three-dimensional effect by layering matt and shiny surfaces. The hand-painted details emphasize the combination of tradition and craftsmanship.

Heritage Turandot

The Heritage Turandot decor refers to Puccini's opera and combines Asian and Western influences. Elements such as bamboo, ginkgo leaves and peony blossoms, reminiscent of Chinese landscapes, merge with 18th century European design traditions. Cinti created two color worlds: a realistic one, characterized by green and blue tones, and a graphic one, dominated by deep blue. The integration of Chinese food culture in the form of rice bowls, tea caddies and chopstick holders rounds off the intercultural approach.

Heritage Dynasty

The Dynasty decor tells the story of generations and family traditions, inspired by the Renaissance, Art Nouveau and oriental motifs. Fantasy creatures, plant arrangements and heraldic animals are artfully layered and designed in colors such as black, Prussian blue and chocolate brown. Cinti's fashion influences, particularly his time with Gianfranco Ferré, are reflected in the color palette and decorative complexity.
