Luigi Colani was always regarded as the "enfant terrible" amongst German designers. There are several opinions about his work. Some totally reject him, others are enthusiastic about his revolutionary designs, for which he is always looking for new radical solutions. He worked for BMW, Boeing, Canon, Thyssen and even NASA. Colani worked for Rosenthal from 1970 to 1972.
For Rosenthal studio-lline he created the award winning tea service »Drop« as well as the livingroom furniture »Pool«. »Drop« was included in the permanent collection of the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, as an example for contemporary design.
