Alajmo, R. M.
Massimiliano Alajmo was born in Padua on 6 May 1974. On his mother Rita Chimetto’s side, he belongs to the fifth successive generation of restaurant owners. After graduating from the Pietro d`Abano School of Hotel Management, Massimiliano Alajmo worked at a number of Europe’s top restaurants.
At the end of 1993, he was placed in charge of the kitchen of “Le Calandre”. As head chef, he has established “Le Calandre” as a gourmet restaurant whose fame extends far beyond the borders of Italy. The restaurant now boasts three Michelin stars. This makes Massimiliano Alajmo the youngest chef ever to have achieved this much-sought-after distinction.
