Ferdinand Liebermann was one of the most famous German sculptors at the beginning of the 20th century. His works also comprise fountains, architectural sculptures and monuments.
Liebermann began working for Rosenthal in 1909. He is the most prolific figurine designer in the founding years of the Rosenthal art department in the factory in Selb. His best-known works are »Philosophischer Disput« (200 pieces), »Kleiner Bacchant«, »Faunbüste«, »Schreck« and »Tempelweihe« (200).
