*1923 - †1997
Roy Lichtenstein is one of the best-known representatives of American pop-art. In his works he fell back on advertisments, illustrations in magazines and especially comic-strips, which he imitated, enlarged or modified somehow in order to create meaning and emphasis.
Lichtenstein began working for Rosenthal in 1989. For the Rosenthal limited art edition he created the artist tea-set »Tea-Set« and also two artist sevice-plates.
