Wesselmann, Tom

*1931 - †2004

Tom Wesselmann was one of the most important representatives of American Pop- Art. His modifications of nude motifs by use of a striking, mass-media-like image language gained him fame, but he also created still lifes and landscapes of huge dimensions. Wesselmann had been working for Rosenthal since 1982. For the limited art edition he created the objects »Stilleben« (25 pieces) and »Bedroom Blonde« (100 pieces).
