Arnaldo Pomodoro is an Italian sculptor of the 20th century of international fame, and he is also a respectable stage-designer. In 1954 he met in Milan the artists Enrico Baj, Sergio Dangelo, Lucio Fontana and others, who had great influence on him. In 1961 he was co-founder of the Continuità Group in Italy. His often very large art objects were repeatedly awarded. In 1980 Pomodoro created the »Tischobjekt« (20 pieces) for Rosenthal.
