Arnold Leissler is one of the major German painters of the second half of the 20th century. He found his own unmistakable picture themes - a far cry from any trendy tendencies. Even organic shapes are transformed - by means of colours or outline - to geometric objects and integrated into space. Leissler designed for the Rosenthal limited art edition the annual plate in 1979 (3,000 pieces).
