Rosenthal designer

Karnagel, Wolf

GER

*1940

Wolf Karnagel is one of the most famous German porcelain designers of the 20th century. His forms are plain, because they are restricted to basics. His designs want to be haptically attractive and at the same time practical in use, durable and combinable with other forms. Karnagel has been working for Rosenthal since 1969. For the Rosenthal studio- line he developed the complete table equipment »Joy« and »Plus« (porcelain, glass, »Plus« cutlery). He also created several services for the brand Hutschenreuther which was acquired by Rosenthal in 2000, among others »Galleria«.
