Jörg Immendorff belongs to the group of painters-sculptors who re-defined the role of German art internationally in the end 60s. By means of bright colours and formats consisting of easily recognizeable "prefabricated parts" his paintings really ask for empathy. His sculptures seem to jump out of the picture he likes to know "what happens, when I cut certain characters out of the picture". Immendorff had been working for Rosenthal since 1993. For the limited art edition he created the sculpture »Lehmbruck-Saga« and the artist tankard »Vokale« (each 99 pieces).
