Funtionality, universality and esthetics, these are the demands to a modern dish set. In our fast-paced time, a lot of life and eating habits have changed. Increasingly diverse products are equired, to accompany us during the day. Starting with the cup of coffee in the office, the snack at noon to the evening with friends. Modern collections must be useful for the healthy kitchen as well as for international dishes. The trend turns away from the overly designed items and gets back to the basics. The new collection “Coup”, by Thomas, in cooperation with the designer Konstantin Grcic, takes this trend into account. The design “Coup” meets the requirements of the new eating habits and continues with the succesful and numerous award-winning design concept by Thomas. The newly developed design impresses with simple design and the avoidance of unneccessary components. Soft lines are featured throughout the entire spectrum of products and account for the special charm of the collection. The extraordinary design is evident in the gourmet plates, available in three different sizes. The unusually wide edge is curved and turns into a little mirror. All articles are in harmony with each other. For example, the design of the tea pot is equivalent to an enlarged cup with added lid and spout. “Coup” is beautiful in design and particularily functional. All plate sizes are usuable as lids for the suitable bowls. An additional variation is a saucer which makes the cup into a mobile object. With its unique oval shape, with a mirror that is offset from the middle, it offers room for a croissant or a glass of water with your coffee. The saucer can be used for all cups.
