With “Format“, the designer Christoph de la Fontaine sculpted a trend-setting complete program for Rosenthal studio-line. The products are based on the 50’s and 60’s, but exaggerate this for the benefit of a separate and distinctive language of form. Basic architectural forms like cylinders and cones are put together in a totally new set. Interestingly with “Format” allows building a very clear and yet extremely diverse set, without resorting to decorations, flourishes, or pattern.
