    Personal Data necessary for shopping

    In the course of shopping in our online shop we collect several personal information from you (surname, name, date of birth, postal address and bank account or credit card data). We will process and use your personal data for the purposes of the completion and execution of contracts, i.e. to process your order and payment and to deliver ordered goods. Your e-mail-address will also be used to inform you about the purchase order status.

    Newsletter

    As far as you have entered your email address, surname and name under “Newsletter subscription”, then clicked the button “Subscribe” and confirmed your subscription via the link we sent to the entered email-address (double op-in), we will process and use your email-address also in order to send you our newsletter containing our offers, promotions and raffles on a regular basis. You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or online by clicking the unsubscribe button under “Newsletter subscription”.

    Account creation

    If you by choice have created an account under „My Rosenthal – Register now“, we use your personal data collected further in order to register you for any future visits respectively shopping in our online shop. Thus you do not have to re-enter this data necessary for contractual purposes at every single order and you may review your orders placed with us within your customer’s account.

    Feedback

    Possibly you gave the following consent after your order:

    "* I agree to be once reminded of writing a review by e-mail to <your e-mail adress> from the Trusted Shops GmbH. Pursuant to Privacy Policy I can withdraw my agreement at any time.

    In case you gave the consent above, we forward your e-mail adress to the Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15c, 50823 Köln, to remind you of writing a review by e-mail. You can withdraw this agreement at any time (e.g. by e-mail to shop@rosenthal.de).

    Use of your data for conclusion and execution of contracts

    As far as you have not given us your specific consent we do not use your data for purposes other than for the conclusion and execution of  contracts between you and Rosenthal. Only to the extent that is necessary for these purposes we also provide instructed companies, entrusted with the receipt and execution of your order, with your data. That is in detail:

    Hatraco Hamburg Trading Company GmbH, Peutestraße 53, D-20539 Hamburg, providing the online shop on our behalf and processing your orders, payments, enquiries, complaints and returns; DHL Vertriebs GmbH & Co. OHG, Charles-de-Gaulle-Straße 20, D-53113 Bonn for shipping and pickup of goods; the bank/credit institution entrusted with payment in each case; PAYONE GmbH & Co. KG, Fraunhoferstraße 2-4, 24118 Kiel, for execution of a credit card payment and the payment service PayPal (Europe) S.á.r.l. & Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg.

    In these cases upon complete execution of each contract your data will be blocked for further use and deleted on expiry of the statutory periods of retention.

    Use of data for contacts

    If you want to send us a message by using the contact form http://www.rosenthal.de/cms/infopages/contact/ we collect your name and your e-mail-address to answer your request. Subsequently the data stored for this purpose will be deleted inasmuch as you have not provided us with your consent in their storage and use for other purposes mentioned in this data protection policy.

    Log-files on the visit of our website

    Each time you visit our website or download a file log-files, such as IP address, date and time, browsed web page, name of downloaded file, browser version in use, operating system software and the previous website you visited, will be temporarily stored. These data will only be analysed for statistic purposes and to improve our offer. They do not allow any conclusion as to your identity and are deleted subsequently.

    Cookies

    Cookies are small text files which are sent from our webserver to your browser and stored on the hard drive of your computer. They are destined to identify your computer at your next visit of our websites automatically and to facilitate your navigation.

    We use such so called ID-Cookies also to recognize your computer on other websites that are members of the display advertising network of Google by means of the data logged (visit of our website, latest Google search enquiry including date and time, preferred used language, type of browser, operating system) in order to show you advertisements based on your presumed interests. You may view, delete or add the categories according to which interest-based ads are presented within the Google display network in Google’s Ads Preferences Manager (“Anzeigevorgaben-Manager”). This tool also allows you  to opt-out of the use of cookies for interest-based advertising within the Google display network entirely by clicking the opt-out button (“Deaktivieren”). See here for more information. ID-Cookies stored on your hard drive are deleted automatically 30 days subsequent to your last visit of our website.

    You may decide yourself whether or under which conditions cookies are stored on your computer by adjusting the security settings of your browser in which you may allow your browser to accept cookies only on enquiry or not at all or by determining that cookies will be deleted when closing your browser. However it might result in limited operationality of our website if you choose not to accept any cookies.

    Google Analytics

    This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”).  Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the USA. Yet in the event of activation of IP-anonymisation on this website, within the EU member states or within other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area your IP address will be shortened by Google prior to transmission.  Only in exceptional cases the full IP address will be transmitted to a server in the USA and will be shortened there.

    On behalf of Rosenthal Google will use the generated information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing Rosenthal with other services relating to website activity and internet usage.  Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.  

    Moreover you may refuse the collection and use of the data referring to your use of our website (incl. your IP address) generated by Google through the cookie by downloading and installing the browser-plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

    Data Security

    Personal data we collect during the order process will be transmitted to us via a secured SSL connection (“Secure-Socket-Layer”) in 128-Bit-encrypted form in order to protect them from unauthorized access. Moreover we take additional technical and organisational security measures to prevent your data from loss, destruction or abuse. In particular no access to your customer account is possible without entering your personal password. You can contribute to the protection of your data by selecting a password that is difficult to reconstruct e.g. a combination of letters, digits, and symbols and by keeping it strictly confidential.

    Right to information

    You have a right to free of charge information about your data stored and where required a right to rectification, blocking or erasure of this data according to the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz.
